Really basic information that you can get by reading any women's magazine. As far was weight loss goes, their program is 1200 calories - ANYONE, can lose weight on a 1200 calorie diet. The Phase 1 diet is 1200 cal for 5 days then bumps the calories up to 1500 during phase 2.If you want to lose weight, log into any free online food tracker, track your every day calories (no dieting) and see how much you eat in a day. I'm sure you'll be surprised at the number .. then to lose weight ... scale back your food. Yes, it's that simple.The menopause info wasn't new or exciting .. if you've read any of Suzanne Somer's books she basically cover bio hormones. Nothing concrete on any herbals other than a list of thing to try. Menopause is a tricky and one size does not work for all .. it's a try and try again for some kind of normalcy.
I lost weight easily with recommended diet plan, no hunger, healthier. stronger and leaner with yoga and walking program.Highly recommend this. easy to follow, practical advice.

okay reference book there are many other books out there that would be better you are planning on trying bioidentical hormone replacement therapy
I have a huge failing. I admit it. I keep buying these books in hopes of finding some revolutionary new information that will help me regain my life after menopause. This isn't that book. Nothing new in the fight here. I don't know a single, solitary woman who has the time to deal with a meal specific diet plan. Not on this planet anyway. My husband is a picky eater and I don't have the inclination to cook two different meals every day. What I need is for someone to cut to the chase and give me the guidelines to follow so I can incorporate them into my everyday cooking. Guess what? Most of us that cook and eat and have for 50 odd years know all this stuff anyway.Buck up ladies. This isn't the answer. Maybe the next book out will be. :0)
I was pleased to find this book at such an affordable price. I am finding the information to be very helpful! Tips on sleep, food, what to eat, how to take care of your body as it goes through perimenopause to menopause is really crucial information.
